AT the back of the receptacle, remove the 4 small Phillips screws and loosen the ac terminal screws.
Removing the front cover reveals the USB connections.
Removing the rear cover reveals the AC/DC board.
Remove the 2 small screw and unsolder this board from the AC side
Desolder the USB wires from the other side of the board.
Discard the AC/DC board.
Calibrate a step down board to step down to 5v from 12-14v DC.
Wire it up.
Done.
