Comments
- Removed a lot of dirt!
- Having the decking at 45' requires a lot of blocking.
- Ended up screwing in the deck board to the blocking when I should have screwed into the joists. Made the spacing larger than ideal.
- Took about 4 weekends to complete.
- Hardest part was getting the deck blocks in place and level and removing all that extra dirt.
- In the spring, I noticed that water was accumulating on the surface of the deck. I ended up re-gapping the board about 1/4" (nail width) between boards.
