  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
  • 1/2 small onion diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions

  • Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Add onions, garlic, cumin, oregano and smoked paprika. Stir and saute for 5 minutes, until onions have softened and become translucent.
  • Add can of black beans (do not drain), stir and bring to a simmer.
