Check if the fan turns on when the drawer is closed.
Drawer Repair
The drawers cracked in a number of places. These were repaired by melting the plastic with a soldering iron. Wire was melted into the plastic across breaks to strengthen things.
Definitely a design flaw here. The plastic is too thin in the brackets. You can notice them bend when the drawer is opened.
