I've ordered a replacement.
While waiting for the new damper motor assembly, I ended up removing the damper and cutting off about 5mm of the foam from the bottom of the door. So far so good.
Worked fine until the replacement arrived (about 4 days with temp set at 5C)
Replaced part and set temperature down to 3C. Wait and see.....

Remove cover by pushing up taps from the bottom and then slide cover down.

Unscrew mount and remove.
Disconnect power Disconnect power and unclip motor.
